Alrighty, 2010. Let's do this.

Holy moly. It's 2010. We're finally at the point where it's awkward to abbreviate the year verbally and I can't get over the people who say "oh-ten". It just sounds silly.

So I'm sitting here in an empty hotel room thinking about the last 10 years and how I can remarkably remember something from each year in the past decade. I can't say that about the 90's because I was only just a little tyke and my memory just doesn't go back that far. A-hem. Here goes:

2000: Dressed as white trash to my first Sadie Hawkins dance. Won't be sharing that idea with my future children.

2001: Won Cd'A Junior Miss. Hot diggity-dog.

2002: Graduated from CHS with honors. Cried when my brother showed up to graduation after he told me he couldn't be there.

2003: Clark Family Reunion. Meagan and I put waaaaaay too much blue food coloring in the GIANT birthday cake that we made. Made for great pictures, though.

2004: Became addicted to exercise. But not in a healthy way.

2005: Studied abroad in Torino, Italy. Met amazing people, celebrated my 21st birthday a little too much, traveled to beautiful places....oh, and learned a lot.

2006: Met the man that I plan to marry. Also noteworthy: graduated from college. A mere .05 points away from graduating with honors. AND, Alaskan Cruise with the Griswolds. This was a GREAT year.

2007: Brother married the best sister-in-law I could have asked for. Lots of babies were born (totally unrelated to the first thing).

2008: Decorated a lot of great cakes. Won 3rd place at the Kootenai County Fair (out of 3 entries) and got a cool ribbon! Also perfected my chocolate cake recipe. Mmmmmm.

2009: Quit my job during the worst economic recession since the Great Depression. Turned into one of the better decisions I made this decade.

2010: It's only been 32 days. Nothing major to note, but I can feel something good coming any day now...

Okay, "oh-ten". Bring it on.
